Again, hoodlums unleash terror on Ibadan community, 50 shops, 8 cars destroyed

Hoodlums believed to be from Asaka/Foko area in Ibadan stormed Ile-Nla, Osundina Street, Isale-Osi, Ibadan, capital city of Oyo State, on Monday night and vandalized shops numbering about 50 and also destroyed eight cars, over 40 motorcycles and Keke Maruwa in the process.

 

Some residents in the area who spoke  with our source on condition of anonymity said the hoodlums in high number stormed the area around 9.00pm on Monday.

 

They caused havoc from Osindina Street to Gidarami, Oremeji furniture and Gege/Born Photo area.

 

The hoodlums were said to be demanding apologies from Ibadan monarch, the Olubadan of Ibadan land, allegedly threatening that the the attack would continue until an apology is tendered from the palace of the Olubadan of Ibadan.

The hoodlums who vandalised several shops, were said to have shot sporadically into air to alert the residents of their dangerous intention to really cause mayhem.

They removed entrance doors to some shops, broke some doors, stole some goods while they also threatened to kill some people in the neighbourhood. They also set burnt tyres on the road leading from Ode-Nla mosque down to Aladorin bridge
