You can now get STIs by shaving pubic hair

A University of California, San Francisco, study has shown that people who trim hair in their pubic region are likely to contract a sexually transmitted infection (STI).

This likelihood reportedly outweighs the chance of individuals who do not groom their loins getting an STI.

According to a journal titled “Sexually Transmitted Infections”, grooming of the pubic hair is synonymous to having multiple sexual partners.

Though this might seem scary for people who are hell bent on keeping things clean under, the study also offered good news.

The New York Daily reported that shaving one’s hair can also help eliminate an infection such as pubic lice
